Peripheral Realism was the standard theory for Argentina's foreign policy during the 1990s, which proposed approaching the great powers in order to maximize the benefit for the Argentine civil society and its development. Carlos Saúl Menem’s administration received successive international pressures to disable the Cóndor II. After the termination of the project, and with the addition of a number of other policies, Argentines became “reliable” in the eyes of the international powers. This article intends to look into the international pressures from the United States to Argentina’s technological-space policy.
