Inteligência artificial e gênero na imprensa chilena

Resumo

Este artigo examina os enquadramentos midiáticos por meio dos quais a imprensa chilena constrói liderança, expertise e autoridade epistêmica em torno da inteligencia artificial (IA) a partir de uma perspectiva de gênero. Para isso, analisamos um corpus de 12.531 notícias publicadas entre 2020 e 2025 em quatro jornais chilenos de grande circulação: El Mercurio, La Tercera, La Cuarta e Diario Financiero. Metodologicamente, combinamos uma análise computacional baseada em dicionários com uma leitura qualitativa aprofundada de artigos selecionados. Os resultados revelam uma forte masculinização da cobertura sobre IA: os homens são mencionados 2,4 vezes mais do que as mulheres, e as maiores desigualdades de gênero concentram-se em categorías associadas à liderança, expertise e poder. A análise qualitativa mostra que os homens são representados predominantemente como fundadores, inovadores e estrategistas corporativos, enquanto as mulheres aparecem mais frequentemente vinculadas à educação, regulação, ética e inclusão tecnológica. Além disso, as especialistas mulheres costumam ser apresentadas por meio de uma constante validação de credenciais e trajetórias profissionais, enquanto a expertise masculina aparece como naturalmente legítima e raramente necessita de explicação. Por fim, os resultados mostram que a cobertura econômica intensifica a associação entre masculinidade, autoridade tecnológica e poder corporativo, contribuindo para a produção de imaginários sociotécnicos nos quais determinadas formas de liderança e agencia tecnológica tornam-se mais disponíveis para figuras masculinas.
