Os problemas dos recursos informáticos no contexto universitário

Resumo

O adequado gerenciamento de recursos de TI tem relação com uma organização eficaz das instituições e uma melhor satisfação das pessoas. Estas tecnologias condicionam o desempenho no trabalho, e seu habitual desajuste ou mal funcionamento prejudica os resultados e as relações internas e externas da entidade e seus membros. Este artigo faz parte de uma pesquisa que analisa as anomalias detectadas durante o uso destes recursos em educação superior. Apresenta uma categorização de problemas no conjunto global de uma instituição universitária espanhola e em uma das suas faculdades. Analisa tanto os casos do curso de professores e funcionários administrativos, quanto as incidências na docência com os estudantes. A pesquisa utiliza uma metodologia descritiva longitudinal para quantificar a variável “incidências informáticas comunicadas”. Os registros e incidências detectadas em 3300 equipamentos de TI usados por 5784 professores, alunos e funcionários administrativos da área da educação são catalogados por taxonomias, e os dados observados de forma quantitativa diacrônica desde 2008 são apresentados com uma perspectiva internacional e multi- institucional. A experiência reflete as tendências nos problemas mais frequentes, salienta o paulatino deslocamento de avarias, a estabilização de problemas de hardware e das redes, e o aumento de incidências do software.
