Abstract

The expansion of scientific and technological knowledge has multiplied both productive and destructive forces, the possibilities of communicating and healing that human beings have, and their overall incidence in the evolution of the biosphere. The latter is what has led many to say that we have entered the Anthropocene, a new period in the history of planet Earth.
