Poéticas del agua. Between Aesthetic Experience And Environmental Awareness
Keywords:
water, education, art, environmental awarenessAbstract
This paper describes Poéticas del agua, a project submitted by a group of researchers from the Universidad de los Andes (ULA), Venezuela, in partnership with the Red Internacional de Universidades Lectoras. Our purpose is to raise awareness among different communities of readers on the significance of water for life by exploring the symbolic representations of this precious resource. The interdisciplinary approach of our research has enabled the conjuction of two fundamental lines of work: the education of readers and the development of environmental awareness through artistic experience. As part of the activities proposed in this project, we are presenting the results obtained from a number of workshops on reading and literary, visual and bodily expression.Downloads
