Abstract

The field of science communication has been crossed by debate and the urgency of change from an intersectional feminist perspective and in favor of practices that take into account principles of equity and social justice, amidst the feminist uprising experienced in multiple spaces –in the streets, in the media, in the arts, in museums, in schools and universities- in the last decade. We see, for example, the emergence of profiles on social networks of black, trans, indigenous, periphery, different regionalities and different areas of knowledge researchers. The visibility of these identities can help to demystify the classic stereotype of the scientist as a white, heterosexual, middle-aged man, wearing a white coat and isolated in his laboratory, commonly associated with the perception of those who do science and who are authorized to talk about it.
