Analysis of E-Government from the Citizens’ Perspective
The case of an Argentine City

This paper examines the social and demographic factors that explain the e-government adoption level (EGA) by citizens. EGA has an ordinal nature and includes different digital platforms from official websites to social networks. Data was obtained from an online survey made between October and November 2020 to citizens from Bahía Blanca, Argentina. An ordered logistic regression model was estimated. Among the main findings, it was discovered that the higher the level of education and the age, the higher the EGA will be. Using Internet at work also explains high levels of adoption. Being a woman positively explains the changes of adopting e-government in respect to not doing it, while the option “other gender” has lower chances in each level of AGE.
