This paper analyzes the initiatives implemented to support postgraduate education in Argentina. In the last years, the supply of postgraduate courses had a remarkable growth, though with little planning. In line with this, in view of the necessity of promoting education at this level, several public institutions, agencies and universities implemented programs aimed at bringing help to those looking for undertaking these studies. This paper exposes the features of Argentina’s postgraduate system and its normative frameworks, points out the strengths and weaknesses of the existing programs, and assesses the trends developed along the last years.
