Abstract

The profound transformation of economic life, the exercise of power, and interpersonal experience—as a result of contemporary scientific and technological development—has led to an unprecedented concern for scientific and technological culture. The need to promote a science culture that is socially accessible and appropriable by citizens has created new challenges for the development of public policy.
