Internacionalização e inovação em serviços intensivos em conhecimento na América Latina

Nas últimas décadas, o grau de internacionalização cresceu consideravelmente em vários ramos de serviços, seja através do comércio ou de outros canais alternativos. Da mesma forma, tem sido destacado o papel desempenhado por alguns setores conhecidos como serviços intensivos em conhecimento (SIC) em termos de inovação e produtividade dos países. No entanto, a literatura empírica sobre essas questões foi abordada em poucas ocasiões e, além disso, as evidências dos países em desenvolvimento são escassas. Este trabalho procura contribuir para a análise da ligação entre internacionalização e inovação nos SIC, a partir de evidência exploratória da América Latina. No geral, os resultados estão em linha com as conclusões obtidas anteriormente para economias mais desenvolvidas, destacando que quando as estratégias de internacionalização das empresas SIC são mais complexas (combinação de exportações, investimento externo e acordos internacionais), seu desempenho inovador tende a melhorar.Downloads
