Abstract

Philosophical reflection considers technology in various ways: as a collection of artifacts, as a form of action, as a specific form of knowledge, or as a social process. However, the plurality of existing approaches in the literature, as well as the different ways in which the technical problem has been considered, indicate that the philosophical field dedicated to this theme still lacks a set of basic concepts derived from a unified ontological, epistemological, and axiological reflection. The publication by CTS of a dossier on the philosophy of technology aims to contribute to the creation of this set of fundamental concepts necessary to understand technological experience. The analytical comprehension of the components that constitute this experience depends upon the construction of such a set of basic concepts.
