The Case of Expanding Ammunition: Analysis of a Controversy from the Philosophy of Technology

This paper analyzes the implementation of the expansive ammunition by the internal security forces of Argentina, in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 1770/2008, which has raised controversies between defenders and detractors of this type of ballistic technology. For the technological evaluation, the systemic philosophical tool proposed by Miguel Ángel Quintanilla will be used as a framework, setting out an application of the philosophy of technology for decision-making on public policies within the framework of a specific controversy of the STS field.Downloads
