Plan S en América Latina: una nota de precaución
Abstract
El Plan S es una iniciativa de un consorcio europeo de financiadores de investigación orientada a exigir la publicación en acceso abierto de los resultados de la investigación financiados por fondos públicos o privados. Está previsto que se internacionalice en 2021. Lanzado en septiembre de 2018 y revisado en mayo de 2019, el plan, que cuenta con el apoyo de la llamada cOAlition S (2019a), involucra diez principios dirigidos a dictar publicaciones académicas en “revistas de acceso abierto, plataformas de acceso abierto, o puestas a disposición de inmediato a través de repositorios de acceso abierto (sin período de embargo)”. cOAlition S (2019b), está coordinado por Science Europe, cuenta con 17 financiadores de investigación nacionales, cinco fundaciones benéficas y el Consejo Europeo de Investigación, y está buscando el apoyo de otras regiones.Downloads

Since 2007, CTS has provided open and free access to all its contents, including the complete archive of its quarterly edition and the different products presented in its electronic platform. This decision is based on the belief that offering free access to published materials helps to build a greater and better exchange of knowledge.
In turn, for the quarterly edition, CTS allows institutional and thematic repositories, as well as personal web pages, to self-archive articles in their post-print or editorial version, immediately after the publication of the final version of each issue and under the condition that a link to the original source will be incorporated into the self-archive.
