Abstract

Danilo R. Streck is a professor at the Graduate Program of the University of Caxias do Sul, Brasil. His research and academic production focuses on Latin American pedagogy, popular education, and pedagogical mediations in participatory social processes. He participates in the WG Popular Education and Critical Pedagogies in Latin America of CLACSO and is co-editor of the International Journal of Action Research. He also coordinates the UNESCO Chair in Education for Global Citizenship and Social and Environmental Justice.

Author Biographies

María Goñi Mazzitelli, Universidad de la República

Assistant professor of the Academic Unit of the Sectoral Commission for Scientific Research of the University of the Republic (Udelar), Uruguay. Master in studies in science, technology and society at the University of Quilmes (UNQ), Argentina. She is currently finishing her doctorate in the Social Sciences Program of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina.

Bianca Vienni-Baptista, Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich

Senior researcher and professor. She leads the Group "Cultural Studies of Science" of the Transdisciplinarity Lab, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Switzerland. She has a PhD in cultural studies from the University of Granada, Spain, and has a habilitation with the theme Cultural studies of collaborative science: disentangling interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cultures, practices and policies in ETH.

Cecilia Hidalgo, Universidad de Buenos Aires

Full professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. Researcher at the Institute of Anthropological Sciences of the UBA and president of the Argentine Society for Philosophical Analysis (SADAF). She is currently a member of the Coordination Unit of the Drought Information System for southern South America (SISSA), a project of the Regional Climate Center for Southern South America of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). She is the director of the "Science in Society" Collection (CICCUS-CLACSO).
