Aprendizados e capacidades desenvolvidas pela organização-mãe a partir da criação de uma spin off

Resumo

Este artigo investiga o aprendizado relacionado às capacidades de P&D que uma organização-mãe pode desenvolver a partir da criação de um spin-off. Com base nas características assumidas pela relação entre ambas as partes, são analisados ​​os diferentes tipos de aprendizagem e as condições que os favorecem. Para tanto, é realizado um estudo de caso da relação entre nove spin-offs intensivas em conhecimento - pertencentes ao setor agropecuário e alimentício da Argentina - e suas organizações-mãe. Dentre as principais descobertas, destaca-se a identificação de uma série de aprendizados que respondem a diferentes aspectos do relacionamento no binômio; verificação de que esses aprendizados também são verificados caso a spin-off seja criada recentemente; e a identificação das condições que permitem a aprendizagem, como a existência de espaços híbridos, as capacidades de I&D da spin-off, a existência de projetos conjuntos e a dupla filiação do fundador.
