Plan S en América Latina: una nota de precaución
Resumen
El Plan S es una iniciativa de un consorcio europeo de financiadores de investigación orientada a exigir la publicación en acceso abierto de los resultados de la investigación financiados por fondos públicos o privados. Está previsto que se internacionalice en 2021. Lanzado en septiembre de 2018 y revisado en mayo de 2019, el plan, que cuenta con el apoyo de la llamada cOAlition S (2019a), involucra diez principios dirigidos a dictar publicaciones académicas en “revistas de acceso abierto, plataformas de acceso abierto, o puestas a disposición de inmediato a través de repositorios de acceso abierto (sin período de embargo)”. cOAlition S (2019b), está coordinado por Science Europe, cuenta con 17 financiadores de investigación nacionales, cinco fundaciones benéficas y el Consejo Europeo de Investigación, y está buscando el apoyo de otras regiones.Descargas

Desde 2007, CTS proporciona un acceso libre, abierto y gratuito a todos sus contenidos, incluidos el archivo completo de su edición cuatrimestral y los diferentes productos presentados en su plataforma electrónica. Esta decisión se sustenta en la creencia de que ofrecer un acceso libre a los materiales publicados ayuda a un mayor y mejor intercambio del conocimiento.
A su vez, para el caso de su edición cuatrimestral, la revista permite a los repositorios institucionales y temáticos, así como también a las web personales, el auto-archivo de los artículos en su versión post-print o versión editorial, inmediatamente después de la publicación de la versión definitiva de cada número y bajo la condición de que se incorpore al auto-archivo un enlace a la fuente original.
