Emoções de famílias em um jogo de escape room no Espacio Ciencia (Montevidéu, Uruguai)

Resumo

Estudos recentes no campo da educação não formal têm demostrado o papel propulsor das emoções na aprendizagem. Para compreender como as emoções contribuem com as experiências significativas e de aprendizagem, analisamos as conversas e interações de oito famílias (totalizando 37 indivíduos entre os quais 17 eram crianças) durante a participação em um jogo de escape room do Espacio Ciencia (Montevidéu, Uruguai). Os dados foram coletados com auxílio de câmera subjetiva e analisados no software Dedoose para a codificação das emoções. Os resultados mostram que o jogo estudado despertou emoções positivas e negativas com alto grau de ativação, sendo as mais frequentes a: diversão, excitação, surpresa, satisfação, estresse e frustração, sugerindo que o jogo de escape foi percebido como divertido e prazeroso. Em conjunto, essas emoções estimularam e desafiaram as famílias a cumprirem as tarefas do jogo de escape que utilizaram sua intuição, criatividade e conhecimentos para cumprir as tarefas do jogo de escape. Os mediadores, por sua vez, ao fornecerem explicações, contribuíram com a compreensão de conceitos científicos e na resolução dos desafios do jogo. Os resultados mostram que as emoções estavam associadas ao interesse e à participação ativa das famílias.
