As Funções Técnicas dos Artefatos e Seu Encontro com o Construtivismo Social na Tecnologia

Resumo

Este trabalho compõe-se de duas partes inter-relacionadas. Na primeira parte, analisam-se dois sentidos básicos do conceito de função: o sentido histórico e o sentido não histórico. Com base nesse material, propõe-se um conceito de função técnica para sua aplicação no âmbito dos artefatos técnicos. Na segunda parte, analisa-se a forma como o construtivismo social em tecnologia aborda as circunstâncias de recepção e uso dos artefatos técnicos. A chave desta segunda parte é mostrar como o construtivismo social nega a tese de que os artefatos técnicos realizam certas funções técnicas próprias com o propósito de satisfazer objetivos para os quais foram projetados, produzidos e comercializados.
